The QIP 2026 Student Support program is designed to support student attendance at the conference by providing financial assistance based on academic merit, presentation status, and financial need.
Eligibility
- Open to students currently enrolled in a university degree program (undergraduate, master’s, or PhD).
- Applicants must be planning to attend QIP 2026 in person (January 24–30, 2026).
- Priority is given to students who are presenting accepted talks or posters, or who are co-authors of accepted presentations.
Application
Applicants will have to complete the application form which will appear on this page after the notification of acceptance of talks and posters (November 7, 2025). It will contain basic information such as name, surname, contact details, as well as information enabling us to evaluate the application, such as the relevance of applicant’s research area to QIP, rationale for the financial support request, contact information of your advisor(s) and/or recommender(s), etc.
Selection
The award decisions will be taken by the selection committee chaired by prof. Juris Smotrovs and composed from the members of the QIP 2026 local organizing committee.
The applicants will receive decision notifications before the early bird registration deadline.
Support Package
- Europe-based students: up to EUR 800,00
(Includes EUR 500,00 designated for conference registration) - Students from institutions outside of Europe: up to EUR 1000,00
(Includes EUR 500,00 designated for conference registration) - Individual award amounts will be specified in award letters.
Reimbursement Conditions
Reimbursement requires submission of valid receipts.
Airfare must be economy class.
Meals and per diem are not eligible.
